The M. Splenius Capitis (Splenius Capitis) is a muscle of the head & neck region. It is responsible for ipsilateral rotation and lateral flexion, head extension. This muscle is not covered by the official SENIAM catalogue — placement is based on established clinical literature. Origin Proc. spinosi C4–Th3, Lig. nuchae Insertion Mastoid process, superior nuchal line (lateral)
