Levator Scapulae (Lev Scap R)

The M. Levator Scapulae (Levator Scapulae) is a muscle of the head & neck region. It is responsible for elevation and downward rotation of scapula, lateral flexion of cervical spine. This muscle is not covered by the official SENIAM catalogue — placement is based on established clinical literature. This page documents the exact electrode position, anatomical attachments and a standardized test movement based on Hermens et al. (2000).

Origin Proc. transversi C1–C4 Insertion Superior angle and medial border of scapula (cranial)

Test Movement

Elevate scapula (shoulder shrug with ipsilateral head tilt)
